Pattern Review: M7604+ tiered skirt

This on trend tiered skirt has been all over the place.  I think this skirt would be cute in a color blocked version, long skirt or as a dress.  I’ve seen this tiered look in dresses and they are cute.  This is super easy to make if you attach a bodice for an empire or baby doll look.  While making this skirt, I asked the question, do I like gathers or pleats in skirts?  I think the answer is circle skirts!  I’m not trying to look “smaller” but I don’t want to look bigger either, adding bulk, and this skirt didn’t fall liked I would have liked, I tend to go for fitted pencil skirts or straight skirts anyway.

Pattern Description:

Misses’ Pull-On Gathered Skirts with Tier and Length Variations
SEWING LEVEL: Beginner

SIZING:L-XXL I made a xxl

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?

Yes, I did add a detached sash, I cut a piece of fabric five inches wide by about 60 inches long give or take to make the sash.
Were the instructions easy to follow?

Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?

I like the elastic in the back of the skirt and the on trend tiers.
An optional pocket pattern would have been great.
Fabric Used:  Chambray

I would recommend the pattern and it’s easy enough for beginners.  I feel for myself, a fabric with great drape would have flattered my figure better like a Modal Rayon, Tencel or crepe..
