Pinterest Interest Using McCalls 7723 and Mccalls 7726
As a part of my monthly sewing, I scope out a bunch of challenges on Facebook and Instagram. For this month, I’ve looked to Pinterest for inspiration for the Sew Much Talent Facebook Group and That Sew Monica’s sew your view challenges. Between Facebook and Instagram, I’m always challenged and inspired to make something. I chose this look because it’s much different than anything I’ve sewn and or worn. I’m pretty boring in my everyday wardrobe, I’m a jeans and T-shirt girl and in the summer cool dresses. Pattern Review: M7261 + Activewear
Alright, I made workout gear for the first time! It wasn’t as hard as I thought but worth the experience. Workout clothes are pretty cheap at Walmart and Old Navy, but I can make the colors I want with the right fit. I used some super awesome compression fabric and funky color blocking, I really like my makes! The compression fabric is super heavy, like scuba fabric so I couldn’t wear this during the dead of summer, but hey, it’s winter and a little chilly out. I will make the pants again because they are awesome and the top too, if I can find some lightweight moisture wicking fabric. And…

Pattern Review: M7131 + Gauchos
I’d like to say I’m fearless, but I’m not. When it comes to what I wear, I try to find the most flattering things to make and wear, not necessarily what will make me look “smaller”. I think secretly we all want to look smaller or fitter than we actually are, well I do at least. I was hesitant about this pattern for that reason. Gauchos are pretty trendy and I tend to stick to a more classic silhouette that hugs the curves and not add additional bulk to my lower half or any half!
