Pattern Review: S1653 my inner DVF
Hi All, I’m on a role, here’s a pattern review for a wrap dress. I channeled my inner DVF and got to it. I am making this again in a nicer fabric, but I think I may want to adjust the pleated wrap portion of the bodice. The wrap dress is truly a flattering dress for all women, regardless of size/shape.

Misses & Plus Size Amazing Fit knit dress in knee or calf length, surplice front with ties & 3/4, cap or flutter sleeves. Individual patterns for slim, average & curvy fit & B, C, D cup sizes for miss & C-DD for women’s. Pattern Sizing: 20w-28w Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes Were the instructions easy to follow? Very, I love the fitting recommendations. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the silhouette and ease .. I loved that I didn’t have to do a FBA! Fabric Used: ITY knit Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None, thats the beauty of Amazing Fit! Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, in a silk jersey. Conclusion: Great beginner pattern, minimal alterations. What’s your go to wrap dress pattern? |
