Pattern Review: M7185 + the peekaboo 4th of July dress
Sooo, no sure if this pattern hasn’t been reviewed, because the patter gurus knew this would be a an X Rated pattern or what, but I like it! I’ve been looking at this pattern for months, but some accountability, I posted it on social media, saying, “Hey, I’m Making this”! and folks kept me accountable. Oh my goodness, am I obsessed with African prints or what? This is my wearable muslin and I like it. A quick sew with some possibilities. I don’t know about my expression, it must be the heat! Hi Friends! Well, yes, I jumped on the off the shoulder bandwagon! I didn’t know how I would like this style on me since, well, I don’t have the shapeliest shoulders, but I love it. Pattern Review: S1072 + patterned knit skirt
Don’t love when your projects look like you did a lot of work? I do, but I have to admit, it’s all in the print. It’s nice to have a fitted lined skirt, but it’s also nice to operate with an elastic waist! I know right, who would have thought that an elastic waist could look so chic? Picking the right floral print can be tricky for me sometimes. Do I want a large print or small, do I want realistic looking flowers or no? The options are endless, but very common for spring and summer. One of my pet peeves is fit, and I love tunics because they are comfy, but sometimes you can step over into “ill fitted”. Pattern Review: Sorbetto by Colette + On the bandwagon+Revamp
This pattern is sort of a rite of passage for sewist. I tried it to see for myself what the fuss is/was about and I must admit, it’s a keeper! I don’t know if I would say it’s a “TNT” pattern, but it’s free and it’s a tank so what’s there not to like? This is my second go round, my first go round with the Sorbetto was a disaster.
