The make it work top: Butterick 6486
Have you ever started something and through out the process you struggled? That was me with this top. I should have named it the little top that could, or better yet the whining sewist. I’m getting a head start on my Fall sewing. I’ve seen this type of Dolman sleeve open jacket all over the place. This is an older Butterick pattern that’s still in print, yay!!. Pattern Review: B6205 + Metallic stripes
Hi! Well, I’m back with another dress! I picked up this striped cotton and metallic fabric from Joann’s with no clue what I would make with it. I thought a dress, but it’s a thin shirting material and I wasn’t sure if it had enough body for a dress. One of my Facebook groups had a stripes challenge and I thought, what a great way to use and highlight this fabric. Remake of B5211+ the dress
I have so many things I want to make and the newness and potential of each pattern calls to me. The rational side of me says, make as many of this one pattern as you can so you can move on to something else. Sometimes you just want something easy to sew, this is it. I’m learning how to fit the flat pattern and make design adjustments. I love super easy patterns that don’t make me cuss! But me and sleeves are not friends! I almost slapped this project because my sleeve would not act right. Pattern Review: Butterick 5466 + My first ever garment & Craftsy class
I looked through my closet for something me made to wear today and I stumbled upon this skirt. Oh, the nostalgia of my first ever skirt! I took a Craftsy class and really, really enjoyed being walked through each step of the process. I’ve made another in a different view and I will show pictures when I can get them taken.
