I didn’t know if I would like this tiered dress, I don’t usually go for ruffles and tiers, I don’t know why, I just don’t. I plucked this pattern out of my donate pile. Hello! I’m not usually one for nostalgia or novelty prints, but who can pass up a Pac-man inspired print?? I purchased this fabric from Fabric Mart and I really like it, it’s a good mid-weight ITY. I’ve had this dress pattern for years and I’ve never got around to making it. I’ve been sewing more and the thought of warmer weather has helped jumpstart my sew jo. I’m not a fan of PDF patterns because of all the taping and waiting for copy shop packages but I’ve always sewn Cashmerette. I want to share my second (but not last Rivermont). I really like the style of this dress and I received lots of complements on this print. This is a Liverpool knit from Fabric.com, I purchased it at a steal for $3.83, I know right! This fabric was sold at seven yard increments so I kept checking on it and one day while I was looking for white fabric for my classic white button up, there was four yards left, score! Weird radiating drag lines toward low hip As one of my essentials, a day dress is on the list. I believe dresses are like suits, they are the complete package. Sleeveless Pembroke Dress
Here’s another make from Sew camp. I love the Pembroke dress, and the fabric is from the FabricMart brick and mortar. This fabric is a double knit/lace overlay knit, I brought this back to the B &B from our FabricMart trip and I it was really easy to sew. I am determined to make these shoes work LOL. It’s been a while since i’ve done a “pattern review”, I think it’s because I’ve evolved a bit in how I chronicle my makes.
