This is my wearable muslin and a case of over fitting.  This dress is wonderful and simple, I started messing with getting the fit closer and closer, until it was too close and the sleeve wouldn’t fit right.  I serged before putting the sleeve so there wasn’t much seam allowance for me to mess with but that’s what I get for not leaving well enough alone.  I have already made adjustments and cut this out to be sewn again.  Lesson learned, measure before sewing, spread measurement over all seams equally and baste. Pattern Description: Semi-fitted through the bust dresses have back zipper, French darts and long trumpet sleeves. B: Lace…

I really like this top, but not so much the fit in the armscye.  This is a wearable muslin but I’m having a time reading the muslin’s for how to fix the fit.  I have cut this out again with some adjustments to the back and armscye, fingers crossed it works out. Pattern Description: Loose-fitting, pullover tops have neck and sleeve bands, French darts and hemline variations. A: Short sleeves. A, B: Narrow hem. B: Shaped hemline (wrong side shows). B, C, D: Long sleeves. C, D: Hem bands. Made view B   Pattern Sizing: 16-26, I cut a 22   Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern…

Sooo, no sure if this pattern hasn’t been reviewed, because the patter gurus knew this would be a an X Rated pattern or what, but I like it!  I’ve been looking at this pattern for months, but some accountability, I posted it on social media, saying, “Hey, I’m Making this”!  and folks kept me accountable.  Overall, I like it and look forward to another view with the full skirt!  Here goes.. Hi Friends! Well, yes, I jumped on the off the shoulder bandwagon! I didn’t know how I would like this style on me since, well, I don’t have the shapeliest shoulders, but I love it. This is my wearable muslin and I will be making some of the other views or this view in a African print ( ughh, can’t get off this bandwagon of African prints!) I found this vintage leather belt in a consignment shop and it really set’s the dress off. Pattern Description: Pullover tops and dresses have elasticized neck/raised (seamed) waist and narrow hem. I know some of these patterns have been around forever, but I just sew enjoy discovering the patterns that EVERYONE loves.  There are some patterns that just do no wrong and this is one of them.  An easy knit with variations and easy construction.  I know it’s a bit lazy, but I also enjoy these patterns because all the “bugs” have been worked out of them.  You see so many variations, so many sizes, and shapes wearing them, they are like wrap dresses, they look good on everyone. I try to add something fresh and new to each pattern, but with this one, I made it as is and didn’t…
