Another Ogden Cami

Don’t judge me, I’ve had this cut out for at least 2.5 months.  What had happen was, lol…  For reals, when I “put stuff away” I forget about them, this was in a bin of “things to sew” that I totally forgot about.  As a matter of fact, that bin is being used as an additional end table in my sewing room so, there’s that lol!!!  And, I already have an end table in the sewing room, so yeah, there are a few things coming that I forgot about in the box.  This is what happens when I try to organize, I forget about stuff!  No, I’m pretty organized, but when I put stuff in new places they tend to get temporarily lost lol.

I did a battle of the Ogden Cami post here.  I like it with the wider straps, this is something that can be worn with a bra and is a cute layering piece.  I like it and would recommend it with modifications.  I used a remnant challis from Joanns (super old) and combined the darted version and the pivot and slide version.  I took the darted Ogden, and raised the side seam 5/8″ at the armscye for the front  back and lining.  This adjustment gave me the coverage of the pivot and slide under the arm and the fit of the darted version, yay!   The pivot and slide makes the lower armscye baggy, not a good look on a sleeveless top.  The darted version is good by itself but some, like me may want some more coverage under the arm.  I took more time with the v-neck this time so imo it looks better, don’t you think?  I didn’t adjust the straps before cutting them out because I took the instructions advice and basted the back straps to the back and tried it on, I then adjusted as needed which I think was roughly 5/8″ before sewing the seam and trimming off the excess.

What do you think of this Ogden cami?  have you tried one of FBA methods?  which one worked for you?
